The History of Gene's Pawn

1987

"Gene's Pawn Shop" opened on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston, SC.

1997

Gene’s was purchased by Stern family and rebranded "Gene's Jewelry & Pawn."

2003

Original store torn down to make room for the construction of the current building.

2009

Building of a second Gene's Jewelry & Pawn location in Moncks Corner, SC.

2015

Lowcountry expansion continued with the building of a third location in Goose Creek, SC.

2025
